         If you sign up to your computer with a Microsoft account you get all the your personalized settings. If you sign up in to a different computer or device with your same Microsoft account, you will get back your photos, contacts, and settings.

  And  if other user use your computer don't worry about your setting and your data.., they must sign up with their own Microsoft account so that they will get  their own personal  apps, people, photos, and colours so security with you.

Signing in with an picture password:

With an photo password, user will be able to sign in to your system with your favorite photo insted of password. User  can able to select the image, that gestures,circles, straight lines, or taps.User will be able to draw an image secret directly on a touchscreen along with  finger or user will use a mouse to draw your shapes.

To set up a picture password:
  1. Click Change PC settings  at the  the right side of the screen .(with using a mouse, point to the right-bottom corner of the screen and click on Settings tab, and then click Change PC settings.)
  2. Click on  Accounts,click on Sign-in options.
  3. Under Picture password, click on Add.
  4. Sign in with your Microsoft account,then follow the steps on the screen to choose a picture and set your password  pattern.

Change your account picture:

  1. Click Change PC settings  at the  the right side of the screen .(with using a mouse, point to the right-bottom corner of the screen and click on Settings tab, and then click Change PC settings.)
  2. Click on  Accounts, and then click Your account.
  3. Pick one of the following options:
  4. Find a favorite photo. If you want to find a favorite photo to use,click Browse.

You can navigate to photos on your system, or to photos you store on SkyDrive. Then click a photo to select it, then click Choose Image.

To change the background:
  1. Open Start by at the  the right side of the screen and then click on  Start. ( if you are using a mouse, point to the left bottom corner of the screen, move your mouse into the corner, and then click on Start.
  2. Click Change PC settings  on the at  the right side of the screen .(if you are using a mouse, point to the right-bottom corner of the screen and click on Settings tab, and then click Change PC settings.)
  3. Click on Personalize, and then click on the background, background color, and accent the color whatever you want and change it.

To see your desktop background on Start:

You can use your desktop background picture as the background on your Start screen. Start screen background will update automatically whenever you change desktop background.

  1. Open Taskbar,click on Search then enter on the Taskbar in the search box, and then click on Taskbar and Navigation in the results.
  2. Click on the Navigation tab, then check the checkbox on the Show my desktop background on Start check box.
  3. Click OK.

To pin Apps to Start:


User can pin his favorite apps on Start so you can find easily and see updates from them very quickly.
  1. Open Start.
  2. Click the arrow button in the bottom left corner.Browse to the app you want to pin and right-click it to select it.
  3. Tap or click Pin to Start.

To Unpin Apps:


Unpinning an app is very different than meaning of uninstalling an app.
NOTE:If you unpin an app from your Start screen, then your app is not show on the start screen.

  1. Open Start by swiping in from the right edge of the screen and then tapping Start. (if you are using a mouse, point to the bottom-left corner of the screen, drag your mouse  into the bottom corner, and then click Start.
  2. Right-click the app you want to unpin to select.
  3. Click Unpin from Start.

To move a Tile:
  1. On the Start screen, press and hold a tile you whould like to move. (If you are using a mouse, click and hold on the tile.)
  2. Drag the tile where you want put it.

To resize a Tile:
  1. On the Start screen, press and hold the tile you want to resize. (If you are using a mouse then right-click the tile.)
  2. Click on the Resize, and then choose the size you want.

To add photos to your lock screen:
  1. Click Change PC settings  at the  the right side of the screen .(with using a mouse, point to the right-bottom corner of the screen and click on Settings tab, and then click Change PC settings.)
  2. Click on PC and Devices, and then click on Lock screen.
  3. If you want to use just one photo on your lock screen then click on Browse, and then choose the picture whatever you want and user able to choose photos on your PC or SkyDrive.
  4. If you want to see a slide show on your lock screen then Click on the Play a slide show on the lock screen.
  5. Click on Add a folder and browse to a folder on your PC or SkyDrive.
  6. Click the folder to select it then click on the Choose this folder, and then click OK. You can pick maximum ten folders.
